Daniel Splet
Teaching in diverse multi-ethnic contexts is a primary passion of Daniel Splet. He has a
wealth of experience in
religious education, having worked in Austria, California, Canada, and the United Arab
Emirates. In Canada, he organized
and taught ESL classes to newcomers, particularly focusing on Chinese seniors. Daniel also
spent a few months teaching
English in Venezuela.
His experiences in ESL teaching motivated him to pursue a Master's degree in TESOL (Teaching
English to Speakers of
Other Languages) at Trinity Western University (TWU). Additionally, he earned a 15-credit
Certificate in Academic
Coaching and Facilitation, which led to a role as an Academic Facilitator at TWU. Daniel has
taught and represented TWU
in India and coached students in public speaking, sociology, and philosophy in British
Columbia. Before joining McKenzie
College, he taught high school English and Social Studies in a Cree Community reservation in
northern Manitoba.
